TEMPLE SHIR TIKVA

We are so excited to hold the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at TST on Monday, January 20, 2020. Together with pre-teen, teen, and adult volunteers, we will prepare lasagnas and banana bread to donate to local homeless shelters and paint Stars of Hope to send to communities recovering from natural and human-caused disasters.

We would love to collaborate and partner with the Social Action Committee at TST to recruit adult volunteers.

Adult volunteers could help with any/all of the following tasks:

• Shopping for recipe ingredients;

• Setting up the space;

• Serving as an adult project leader who can supervise teens, assist with cutting skills, oversee the kitchen, etc;

• Clean up the space;

• Deliver completed food to shelters with another adult or teen

We will also be recruiting teens in grades 6-12 to volunteer for the event!
