Taught by the Temple Shir Tikva clergy, Wednesday mornings, 10:00-11:30.

Five special books of the Hebrew Bible are given a unique place in Jewish life, connected to our holiday cycle:  Passover (Song of Songs), Shavuot (Ruth), Tisha B'Av (Lamentations), Sukkot (Ecclesiastes), and Purim (Esther).  Together these five books are known as The Five Megillot (scrolls)—and each is full of surprises. This year, we’ll take a deep dive into these books, one by one, exploring their texts and their place in our Jewish imagination.
