As we move from Pesach to Shavuot, we are given a profound opportunity for spiritual and personal growth. The Counting of the Omer isn’t just about marking days—it’s about transforming ourselves, refining our inner lives, and preparing to receive Torah in a new way.
This year, I invite you to join a special Mussar Omer Journey, where we will use the structure of the seven weeks of the Omer to explore key Mussar soul-traits (middot) that guide us in living with greater awareness, intention, and connection.
Each week, we will focus on a different soul-trait—such as Lovingkindness, Strength, Balance, Humility, and Trust—and explore how these qualities shape our relationships, choices, and sense of purpose.
What you can expect:
- A weekly va'ad meeting (90 minutes) with meditation, text study, and discussion
- A brief daily practice (10 minutes): a short reading and reflective questions to deepen the learning
- Reflection prompts and exercises to help integrate each trait into daily life
- A structured spiritual journey leading up to Shavuot
To get the most out of this experience, you will be asked to set aside just 10 minutes a day for a short reading and reflection. These small moments of practice will help you bring the learning from your head into your heart, shaping the way you move through the world during this sacred time.
You must have completed at least 4 semesters of Mussar to participate. Class size is limited to 10 participants.
By the time we reach Shavuot, we won’t just be counting days—we will be counting steps of transformation.
