Every year our community celebrates Consecration—the Jewish Life Cycle event marking the beginning of a child’s Jewish education. During this Shabbat service, we call our students up to the bimah and bless them beneath our community chuppah, dedicating them to the lifelong pursuit of Torah and Mitzvot. Each student receives some gifts, including a personal mini-Sefer Torah, and a special surprise created by their parents highlighting their Hebrew name. This year, we invite Consecration students and their families to join us for dinner prior to the service and to stay for a celebration cake after the service.
