Our recent Mussar Survey highlighted a strong interest in opportunities to connect Mussar learning with the Jewish Holidays. In response, I’m excited to invite you to a transformative new course designed specifically for the High Holidays and Jewish New Year.
Introducing: Mussar High Holiday and New Year's Spiritual Preparation
As the month of Elul approaches—a time traditionally set aside for soul accounting and reflection—we have a unique opportunity to prepare ourselves for the upcoming Jewish New Year. This is a chance to revisit our actions over the past year and thoughtfully plan our soul curriculum for the year ahead.
For the past 14 years, I’ve personally found immense value in Rabbi Simon Jacobson’s book, 60 Days – A Spiritual Guide to the High Holidays. It has transformed my High Holidays and New Year’s experiences, adding depth and meaning that I hadn’t imagined possible. Now, I want to share this journey with you.

Because you’ve already completed at least 4 semesters of TST Mussar, you’re well-prepared to take your self-reflection to the next level. 60 Days offers a daily dose of inspiration with short readings and a simple 5-minute reflective exercise, making it accessible and impactful even with a busy schedule.
What to Expect:
- Pre-Course Preparation: Before our first session, please read the introductory section of Rabbi Jacobson’s book.
- Daily Practice: Dedicate just 7 minutes each day to reading and reflection.
- Engage in Community: Join us for three evening Zoom sessions to discuss, reflect, and deepen your understanding together.
