Welcome Back to TST
Shabbat Dinners and Speakers Series

Fridays, March 29 & April 12
Sponsored by Reyim*

*The Reyim group, a division of ACE (Adult Congregational Engagement), is open to any member interested in its programming, that is primarily geared to “empty nesters,” who share a similar interest in intellectual pursuits and mutually enjoyable activities with community and friendship as its main goal.

March 29 – Hopefully, there will be a hint of warmth in the air, so you won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear the “inside” story of our marvelous Rabbi Lisa!

Whether you knew her as your congregational Rabbi at CBT or you are getting to know her here at TST, join us for Shabbat dinner as we learn about her journey that led her to this moment in time. While loving her position as a congregational Rabbi, Rabbi Lisa holds several advanced degrees as well as a varied work and teaching portfolio.

Dinner, immediately following Kabbalat Services, ($18pp) will be catered by The Villa. If you enjoy wine or a non-alcoholic beverage with your dinner, please bring a bottle for your table.

Registration for dinner on March 29 closes on Tuesday, March 26 at 9:00pm.

April 12 – Settle into Spring with Shabbat dinner immediately following services and a lively discussion about golems! Led by author, golem-knowledgable TST member Howard Wolke. Howard self-describes as a father, teacher, writer, and techie; the last three are not necessarily in order. Howard will discuss the always fascinating, potentially relevant, and possibly scary world of The GolemPer jewishvirtuallearning.org, “In Jewish tradition, the Golem is most widely known as an artificial creature created by magic, often to serve its creator. Especially well known are the idols and images to which the ancients claimed to have given the power of speech.”

Registration for dinner on 4/12 will open in late March.

Please contact Karen Langweber (karenbl@comcast.net) with any questions.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
