TEMPLE SHIR TIKVA

Young Family Programming

Young Families at Temple Shir Tikva connects families with children from birth to Bar Mitzvah age through a combination of fun events, learning opportunities and holiday programs. Being together from the time our children are very young establishes a solid social network for adults and children to grow together Jewishly. There are events planned throughout the year including family Shabbat dinners, playground meet-ups, and Havdalah celebrations.

Families with children will find a growing and thriving community of their peers and the precious opportunity to make lifelong friends for themselves and their children. Grandparents are always welcome, too.

Ganeinu: Our monthly pre-k educational program designed for ages 3.9 to 5 year-olds. We learn through music, hands-on activities, stories and meaningful conversations. Together we experience the richness of Shabbat, learn about holidays and share in learning with one another to build community together. Contact Alison Weikel for more information,

Shabbat Yeladim (Tot Shabbat): On the first Saturday & third Friday of each month we have a Shabbat experience for families with children ages one to six. Led by our Rabbis and Cantor in the sanctuary with prayer, music, stories and fun, followed by food and activity. Newcomers are always welcome! Contact Rabbi Dannyto sponsor a Tot Shabbat Service.

Shabbat B'Yachad (Shabbat Together): Shabbat B'Yachad is our new Family Shabbat Service, held the third Friday of each month, designed especially for school-aged children and their families. The words and the prayers are the same, but the music and atmosphere are a little different with a story in lieu of a sermon and prayer melodies you will recognize from camp. Contact Rabbi Danny to sponsor a Tot Shabbat Service.
